THE PROCESS OF CHANGE Pt. 1

In my bid to welcome you to my blog, I saw myself quoting Hebrews 13: 8 and it says
“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”
Solid scripture that gives me hope whenever I read it. I always feel like if He did it for Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and He is the same, then nothing will stop Him from doing it for me. Understanding that alone automatically guarantees a change in your mindset. I would love to say to you that mental change is the secret to actual change. If you cannot change in your mind, your life will experience no change.
I have a personal principle of keeping it simple and going straight to the point so before I bore you, let me quickly mention that I have only two points to consider today.

1. Fortunately I have already mentioned number one, when I said that actual change starts from mental change. Change your mind and you will change your life. How is this possible you may ask? The answer is simple. The only sure way to mental change is having an intercourse with the word. The word of God changes your mind and your mind changes your life.
“I beseech you therefore brethren by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” Romans 12: 1,2
Jesus said, the words that I speak to you they are spirit and life. Same word is a lamp unto your feet and light unto your path. Same word David said, he hid in his heart that he would not sin against God. This word when received with meekness is able to save one’s soul. There are three parts to the word of God.
a. The Living word
b. The written Word
c. The spoken Word
LIVING WORD:
The living word is the person of Christ. John 1: 14. The word became flesh… Right now the living word is in heaven making intercessions for us and reconciling us back to His father. The best thing that can happen to you is to know the living word. It’s so unfortunate that so many know about Him, but very few know Him. They that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits. Your ability to do exploit in your generation is not your knowledge about your God; but your knowledge of God. You know about Him when you hear a preacher preach about Him, when you read Him up in a book etc. but you know Him only when you have a personal relationship with Him. When you get to that point that David got and said The Lord is MY shepherd… (Psalms 23). Can you also say The Lord is yours? Is He your father? Can you boldly call Him ABBA? If you are not sure, you need to ask Him out on an unending date so that you get acquainted with Him. Once you get acquainted with Him, and then watch out for the promises that follow in Job 22: 21 – 30. (To be continued)
